Norfolk Village State School prides itself on being built by the community for the community and this is reflected by the number of community organisations that use and contribute to the school.
Our staff is skilled, experienced and dedicated to making a positive difference to the students’ academic learning, physical wellbeing and social emotional growth. Class teachers have an advanced understanding of the use of ICT devices and their applications in the classroom.
We provide a safe, supportive school environment through the application of the School Wide Positive Behaviour Program which included over 24000 positive "Gotcha Certificates" being awarded last year.
We provide a curriculum that allows students to develop to their full potential, be independent learners, problem solvers and to be "Creatively Confident" in all that they do. It is our goal to ensure that children contribute to society now and in the future as responsible members of the school, wider community and global society in the future. The strategic direction for our school can be downloaded by clicking the following link Where will we be in 2015?.
Our curriculum is well balanced and includes the core areas of English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Technology, Health & Physical Education and The Arts. In addition we focus on personalising our curriculum to meet the needs of our children including the use of Interactive Instructional Web Based Software.
At Norfolk Village State School, teachers, parents and students work together to achieve the school’s vision of "Excellence in Education".
